Oklahoma Jump$tart Scholarship Opportunities For Teachers - Applications due Sept. 15

Hello Oklahoma Educators,

The Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition is offering scholarship opportunities to attend three professional development conferences:

•   Council on Economic Education National Conference in Dallas, TX (Oct. 9-11, 2014)
   $750 value - includes registration, conference meals and materials,
   hotel and travel accommodations, and reimbursement for a substitute teacher

•   Financial Education in Oklahoma Conference in Oklahoma City (Nov. 5, 2014)
   $185 value - includes registration, conference meals and materials,
   travel stipend and reimbursement for a substitute teacher

•   Jump$tart National Educators Conference in Los Angeles, CA (Nov. 8-10, 2014)
   $1,000 value - includes registration, hotel, conference meals and
   materials, and travel stipend

All Oklahoma K-12 educators who teach personal finance, consumer finance, economics or closely-related courses are encouraged to apply. Academic administrators are welcome to apply; please note on your application the nature of your position and its relationship to financial education.

Application requirements:

Submit your application by Sept. 15, 2014.

•   Winners who will attend the Council on Economic Education National Conference
    will be contacted by Sept. 25, 2014.

•   Recipients of the remaining scholarships will be notified by Oct. 10, 2014.

•   Attendees of the Jump$tart National Educator’s Conference are asked to attend the Coalition’s
    meeting on Jan. 28, 2015, to give a 5-10 minute presentation about their conference experience.
