4/13/2015 Jump$tart Your Money WeekApril 19-25 is Jump$tart Your Money (JYM) Week, a statewide, coordinated effort of the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition to raise awareness of financial education issues in Oklahoma. In honor of JYM Week and Financial Literacy Month, the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition is hosting some exciting events that could earn participants big cash prizes. The Financial Freedom video contest is great for those creative individuals who are interested in journalism, graphic design, video production, marketing and social media. Entrants may submit a contest entry individually or as a group, but it will be up to the group to divide any prize winnings among participants. To learn more (official rules, regs, etc.), click here! OKC Dollar DashSaturday, April 25, the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition is inviting participants to go on a mad-dash to find $500, $250 and $100 hidden somewhere in downtown Oklahoma City. This fun-filled scavenger hunt is open to all Oklahomans 18 years and older who have access to an active Facebook account and a camera enabled smartphone. Registration for the OKC Dollar Dash will begin at 8 a.m. at the Centennial Land Run Monument (located along the south end of the Bricktown Canal just southwest of Bass Pro Shop; take West Reno to Centennial Avenue). The race will begin at 9 a.m. Participants will be divided into three groups and given clues based on their assigned route. Each crafty clue will lead participants to a task. Once the task is complete, players will upload photo proof to Facebook using the hashtag #OKCDollarDash. After players reach the official check points and show proof that they've completed the task, they'll be given the next clue to continue the race. Those who crack the clues, complete the tasks and arrive at the checkpoints the fastest will win Oklahoma Jump$tart's cash! Angela Caddell
