Life After AmeriCorps
When your OKMM-EAP service term is completed, you can remain connected to the AmeriCorps national service network. Extensive materials and services for AmeriCorps alumni are available on the network website, www.americorps.org.
- access to eCommunity, which allows alumni to interact through message boards, chat rooms, and events.
- information about additional service projects, for members who have served only one term and would like to serve another.
- opportunities for alumni to share their AmeriCorps experiences with potential members.
- career networking resources.
Free membership in the alumni organization, the National AmeriCorps Association, is also available to members who have completed a term of service. Through the alumni association, you can:
- participate in national days of service, such as Join Hands Day, Make a Difference Day, Martin Luther King Day of Service, and National Youth Service Day.
- access venues for political activism on behalf of AmeriCorps.
- connect with other alumni through local chapters, the quarterly newsletter, a weekly listserv, and employment services.
- learn more about scholarships, awards, and fellowships for AmeriCorps alumni.
